I stumbled across this video quite by accident, but after watching it, I just couldn't not post it here. To be honest, I think I would have felt guilty if I did not.

If evil triumphs because good men do nothing, and ignorance the root and the stem of every evil, then perhaps I will have done some good by speaking out against this horrific atrocity.

Watch the video, and look at the pictures.

Warning: The video isn't graphic, but the pictures that I've linked to below, are, quite frankly, horrific. This isn't CSI we're talking about, with fake dead bodies, these are real human beings. Dead babies that have been murdered. Living souls that have been snuffed out like so many candles. Tiny hands that will never grasp, little hearts that will never beat again.

Unless you're prone to squeamishness, I strongly advise looking at the images, but also taking care while you do so. They are not pretty. They're sobering, they're shocking, and they're thought-provoking. I know it's not fun to look at dead babies, but I think we need to see this.

I do know that a lot of people don't believe that abortion is murder, because a fetus isn't a baby, right? It's not a human being, it's a "fish" or some other such entity. Right? Well, you take a good look at these pictures, and then you tell me what abortion is.

This is what "a woman's right to choose" is. And this, and this, and this. This baby was beheaded.

I am very very psensitive to this topic, because one of my greatest friends was a product of a rape, and her mother had to choose between abortion or adoption. She obviously chose adoption. I mean if you are sexualy abused and raped I....I'm just not sre in that case but it's sick how women just keep having abortions because they're too lazy to take care oftheir woman hood and their sense of self worh by waiting bto have sex.

That's wonderful that your friend's mother chose to allow her baby to live, and you're right about people being too lazy to give up their lifestyles in order to raise children.

You seem to forget the men involved in baby-making. the 'fathers' , the other parent of the child, who for some reason is not relevant to this discussion of morals and laziness and ineffective/inexistent use of contraceptives.

While I thank you for taking the time to read my old entries and comment on them, this particular entry is so outdated and controversial that quite frankly, I haven't the time anymore to deal with a renewed flurry of angry comments regarding abortion.

I whole-heartedly agree with you that the men who father children ought to be held equally responsible for their actions, but the fact remains that fathers unfortunately have no legal say in the fate of their unborn child.

Contraceptives are also not guaranteed safeguards against unwanted pregnancies.

Oh, my dear olde_fashioned, I understand your frustration- particularly at people who purposefully seek out opinions opposing their own and use the anonymous nature of internet to stir up futile rage in themselves and the owner of the opinion/article. So far, no one has been converted to a differing point of view through such hateful, rude and self-righteous debate and people should be already well aware of this. Personally, I love exploring other points of view on such devisive topics (you never know, you may learn something new!) and love a good exchange of opinion, BUT ONLY if it is respectful and rational, with neither side having the aim of exterminating the other.

My sentiments EXACTLY! I often find myself playing referee to both sides, including that which I theoretically agree with. Methodically, however...;-P I can't stand it when proponents of either side get vitriolic and nasty.
