An oddly pop-culture centered post...
May. 20th, 2009 11:17 am...in which I briefly join the 21st century like a normal human being, and act like a dork. LOL.
(I don't even have an icon for this kind of thing...)
First: I'm not usually the type to discuss television shows in actual blog entries let alone bewail their fate when the networks do something stupid (I don't even HAVE a TV tag, ha!), but this time I amreally not happy most seriously displeased.
CBS has cancelled Without a Trace, the one show I actually like. *pouts* As if that's not bad enough, they seem determined to refuse releasing them on DVD beyond Season 3. *grumbles* I won't even bore you all with my complaints about how they wrapped up the relationships! (If you are a fellow fan however I'd be happy to commiserate with you!) LOL.

Two: Terminator Salvation. Let me preface this with a disclaimer that I really do not like the whole Terminator thing, I've never been "into" it and I'm certainly not about to start, but have you seen the trailers for this thing? Two words come to mind (and I rarely even use them): awesome and cool. LOL. I don't care if it is Terminator (I really wish it wasn't), it just looks like something fun to watch, so my brother and I are going to try and see it a day or two after it comes out.
In case you live in a cave, or haven't made up your own mind yet (or perhaps in defense of my own lack of taste, ha ha ha), take a look at this trailer. THIS ONE has the cleverest smartest neatest incorporation of the Terminator theme which is pretty much THE best marketing/commercial idea I've seen in a really long time, but maybe that's just me. ;-P Whoever is making the ads for this thing needs to win some kind of award, LOL!

Three: Paramore's song Decode. From the soundtrack of Twilight (another fandom I most certainly do not plan on joining and a by group I'm not certain I should even be mentioning, since I know little about them), no matter how much it may embarrass me to admit it, there's no denying the "catch-y" nature of this song. Plus it's moody, and I like moody, melancholy songs.
The one drawback (for me, anyway) was associating it with Twilight (which, quite frankly, bugs the heck out of me. Sorry fans!). But this (fantastic) video remakes the theme to center it around The Dark Knight and all but fixed that problem, hee hee! ;-)
Partially inspired by the above, I also had a devilishly good time improving the original album cover that came with the iTunes download, though.
*wicked grin*

Much better.
Okay, so shoot me! Both those two annoy me. No malice was intended, just a bit of innocent (silly) fun and creativity. ;-D
Now despise me if you dare. ;-P
