I hope I'm not getting sick. I've felt rather weird all day - you know that swimming feeling you get in your head if you stand up too quickly? I woke up with it today, and it hasn't gone away. I was hoping I could shake it, (read: denial) and that it would turn out to be nothing, but I'm not so sure. My dad complained of the same symptoms, so there goes my hopeful wish of it being just my imagination.. Sigh. Just what I need, to get sick...again. *facepalm*

Hugs, hope you feel better.

Since I decided to start counting with New Year's, I have now been not sick for a total of...20 days. (Yay me)

Thanks!

LOL, let's hope it stays that way!!

Ooh that's not much fun. Have you ever tried Zicam? Heh, Rush Limbaugh swears by it. I hope that you don't actually end up getting sick! Keep positive, that can make a difference! I've also read about taking large doses of vitamin C, like 1500 mg in a day (though I suspect taking it spread out would be best so your body can absorb it) can help kick a cold. Just my ideas! I'm not 100% sold on any of them, except that staying positive can help your health to a small degree. Whether you decide to try those or not, I just hope that you feel better.

Never even heard of it! But Rush Limbaugh, are you sure it's not laced with vicodin or something? lol. ;-P

So far so good today, so I'm crossing my fingers!

You're not turning into one of those perky "positive thinkers" now, are you?? :-P

Um, maaaaaaybe . . . maybe that's why I like him so much. We both like vicodin. Just kidding. Kind of. Nah, seriously though, it's got zinc and stuff in it.

Could you ever possibly see me as a positive thinker freak? Heck no. I am just when I feel like I'm getting sick. I get really really determined to beat a cold. Like, out of sheer determination. And lots of drugs and supplements. I hate getting sick SO much that I'll do whatever it takes (except take echniacea, I used to try that but then I was taking it and had a cold dragged out sooooo long that I decided never to ever take it again).

I don't really like him, personally.

ROTFLOL, no, certainly not!! That's why I was asking - if you were going to try to pass yourself off as a positive thinker, I was going to report you to missing persons. ;-P (as in, "who the heck are you and what did you do with Deborah???") ;-P

Do you ever listen to him? He's actually a really nice guy. People like to make him sound like he's a jerk but he's far from.

Hahahaha, heck no!

My dad used to, all the time. But I always hated it so much, and I really dislike that sort of radio, or even TV shows (we used to watch that, too, a million years ago) that I probably couldn't ever get past it, now. I hate it when people are intentionally "inflammatory" or "obnoxious" for the sake of being amusing or ultra right-wing. Even Ann Coulter, who I agree with most of the time and brings up excellent points, is too "pushy" for my tastes. [/rant]

See I don't really see him as that way, he's just . . . humorous. He's an entertainer. Doesn't even go nearly as far as Ann Coulter (she's offensive for the sake of being offensive!).

Well, then, I guess I just don't find him entertaining. ;-P

Oh well! You might if you took vicodin.

From: [identity profile] olde-fashioned.livejournal.com
LOL! I don't intend to do that, either, unless one of my legs gets chopped off or something. Then I might consider it.

Date: 2009-01-21 07:00 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] ceallaighgirl.livejournal.com
Dude, if your leg gets chopped off, I think they'd give you something a little stronger than vicodin!!!

Date: 2009-01-21 07:04 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] olde-fashioned.livejournal.com
Deborah, I swear, one of these days you are going to choke me, and/or wake the whole sleeping house up by making me laugh down here by myself in the dark. :-P

Date: 2009-01-21 07:08 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] ceallaighgirl.livejournal.com
Well it's true. I really don't think vicodin would be strong enough to take away the pain of a chopped off leg. It only just takes the edge off of kidney stones, which probably don't really compare to a chopped off leg. I mean, not that I know what a chopped off leg feels like. But still. I've had stronger medicines that still only take the edge off (and I'm not even (what's the word?) like, used to them, or whatever. So you know. Definitely would need something stronger.

Yes, yes. It's my goal to wake up your whole family. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! *evil grin and tapping of fingers together*

From: [identity profile] olde-fashioned.livejournal.com
You're on vicodin right now, aren't you??

what's the word?

Addicted, I believe. ;-P

We need to get you a fluffy white cat, that you can stroke and feed brightly-colored fighting fish inbetween plotting to take over the world!

Date: 2009-01-21 07:57 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] ceallaighgirl.livejournal.com
No, my kidney doesn't hurt enough to take my vicodin right now, and even though I like vicodin, other side effects aren't as good and it can make me feel icky too. :-( Same with percocet.

No, I'm just my normal insane.

A fluffy white cat? That would be a bad idea. I'm allergic to cats and I haven't gotten my new inhaler prescription filled and so then I'd stop breathing and then I'd die. Thanks, thanks for trying to kill me.

Sheesh. People these days.

Sigh.

From: [identity profile] olde-fashioned.livejournal.com
It makes you feel icky? What are some of the side effects?

*snort*

I didn't know you were allergic to cats. :-P I am too, but not deathly so. We found out when we had a cat briefly, before having to get rid of it.

Sometimes it can give me a headache afterward, I suppose a sorta "hangover" (not that I know what a real hangover feels like). It can give me, uh . . . digestive issues (either of two opposites, strangely enough).

It used to be that cat would only give me itchy eyes, stuffy nose, and all the typical symptoms that you'd get from regular hayfever-like allergies, but when I was in university, it got worse and I developed asthma from certain cats and it's pretty unpredictable. I don't keep an inhaler handy because I'm just never around cats so it's never a problem (if I might be around one I take cold medicine with me and that usually keeps it under control). But somehow I think that if you gave me a fluffy one to live with it might become more than a problem, hahahaha! And you know, if asthma gets worse it makes you not breath. And if you don't breathe then you die. :-o So yay for just avoiding cats!

What? Killing isn't cruelty, unless you torture the animal first.

I knowwwww, but knowing you, you'll probably dig out your S&W and chase it first. ;-P

From: [identity profile] ceallaighgirl.livejournal.com
Don't be silly. If I pulled out my S&W I wouldn't have to chase it and it wouldn't suffer either.

Aww * hugs * I hope you're not getting sick either, my advice, hot chocolate (or tea if you prefer :P ), or maybe soothing lemonade, and spend some time lying down.

From: [identity profile] olde-fashioned.livejournal.com
Awww, thank you! *hugs back* I feel a bit better today, so hopefully yesterday was just a fluke. *crosses fingers*

Last night I made myself some honey lemon ginsing tea, with lemon juice and honey added in, per my mom's advice. ;-) Lying down isn't an option, but you can remind me tonight to make myself some hot chocolate, because I'll probably forget, lol! ;-P

Since I thought I had posted "hugs and well wishes" to you earlier, allow me to apologize. I am delighted you are feeling better. Evidently that yummy tea did the trick!

Phoo, phoo. Don't worry about it. :-D And yes - perhaps the tea did the trick! Hmmm...I might have to fall back upon this remedy another time, lol. ;-) And thank you very much for your kind wishes!
