Icons: Frank Weston Benson

Twenty-six Frank Weston Benson icons, featuring turn-of-the-century beauties in romantic outdoor settings that have a very "summer-y" feel to them. I have a notecard of his Eleanor (my userpic and #1 in this batch) sitting on the dresser in my room, and I decided to look him up online. They're quite a feast for the eyes, methinks, so how could I possibly resist the temptation to icon them? ;-D

Have you come across any screen prints from The House of Elliot series? I'm watching it for the 3rd time, and the gowns and hats are to die for. I keep trying to take pictures of them off my TV.

these are very inspiring and full of summer indeed! i love the woman of number sixteen, pensive almost weary and it would seem melancholy. her faces is almost as if summer were ending for her. these are full of stories.
