olde_fashioned: (green -- Irish Brigade flag)

In honour of Saint Patrick's Day, a dozen stock icons of the Irish cliffs, castles, and countryside. I love the color green and all things Irish, so naturally I enjoy March 17th very much! ;-D I've also included a love banner for those of you who love Ireland as much as I do. :-)

As ever, my icons are not bases, please credit/comment if taking, and enjoy!

Please, if you take anything, be so kind as to take note of the numbers above the icon(s) you're saving, since I am always experimenting with my styles and I would like to know what people like best. (This helps me so I can make more!) The numbers are above the icons. ;-)

loving the banner...and the lj-cut quote. I don't really understand the story of the song (and I haven't looked it up), but it's one of the one's I really like.

That song is my very favourite-favourite of all Celtic Woman's songs. I like it very much. ;-D

I looked up the meaning for you:
"The verses of this song refer to a lover's enlistment in the Irish Brigade who left
Ireland after the Williamite War (1691) to serve in the French Army. In Ireland these gallant soldiers were referred to as 'Wild Geese.' "
