Don't. Laugh. You all are going to think I'm crazy wacko, but since this is my blog, I'm doing it anyway. ;-) "Despise me if you dare..."

Yesterday we went shopping, and of course I just had to check out the shoes...haha. They had some Skechers on sale (Bikers Luxe in black) that I've wanted since they came out last year, and my wonderful brother bought them for me! He's such an angel -- well he's so sweet anyway, not just when he buys me shoes! ;-) Here is a pic for those of you who care: click for pic

I wear mostly black anyway, and they have great support and are comfortable, so these will be very practical. They're kind of like a cross between ballet flats and running shoes, and they're rather flattering to my feet, which is always to be desired. ;-) Strangely enough, I had to go down a size from my usual 10. I guess these must run really large, or my feet shrunk overnight!! ;-)

In other news, we made it to the Friends of the Library bookstore today, and bought a stack of books. You can't beat magazines for a quarter and books for $1-2 dollars! I got a two-volume set of The Complete Sherlock Holmes to build up my Sherlockian collection, Sanctuary by Beverly Lewis which I read years ago and loved for some odd reason, and a couple old doll magazines. Like I need more stuff to read.

My brother Spencer had his usual mountain of knowledge to purchase, and it took both of us to carry it to the desk. ;-) You should have seen the librarian's eyes bug out of her head when she saw us!!

I love sweet brothers! ^_^ You're lucky to have one!

Friends of the Library? I didn't know you had one in the U.S.!

I'm a volunteer for the FOL here in Canada, I wonder if they're related?

I know. ;-)

Yes we have FotL in the US!! lol! I don't know if they're related, but ours is just a Friend's bookstore that sells donated books and stuff, that's attached to the library building, but has a separate corner. That's neat that you're a volunteer. There's a couple really nice ladies who work there, one of which kept back the copy of Sense & Sensibility just for me, because she knew I liked JA. :-) They're not all nice though......one in particular is rather grumpy. I got a thank you out of her, though!! ;-)

BTW -- you chose a fitting icon!

Wow, that FOL setup is exactly like ours then! And is this coincidence or a must have? There's one lady there who is rather grumpy as well! LOL.

Thank you! To make it even more apt, I think I should've tweaked my icon a bit so that she would be wearing the shoes your brother bought! ;)

I guess then that most librarys have a similar plan. The grumpy lady here doesn't even like to talk to you, but I did get a few mumbled words out of her. ;-)

HAHA! That's funny. Too bad we couldn't find one of those shoe model pics with the woman wearing my shoes! ;-)

Quite right!

I am so addicted to pretty shoes! And the wearing of them . . .
