This is fun! I think everyone should do this.

(I picked this icon, but it was really hard!!! Almost a tie between the Boating Beauties on and my new Vigee-le Brun.)

Date: 2007-02-27 09:14 pm (UTC)Thank you. I'm glad you liked them. Which ones were you referring to might I ask -- I like to know which ones are popular. ;-)
Oh, you like The Last Samurai, eh? My dad has it, and I must say it rather grows on one. ;-) I *love* the costuming, and if you like LotR you must know how brilliant Nglia Dickson is! ;-) My only objection is that Tom Cruise is in it...haha. (no offense if you're a fan!) What do you think of Ken Watanabe?
Made Up Story -- yes indeed. ;-) All the Austenites in the world are then going to have to launch a campaign to inform the general populace that this isn't historically accurate. :-\ Before long everyone will think it's fact.
Yes, yes! Persuasion especially!! Me too, but only because NA2 doesn't sound very promising anymore. (I like NA better than P) but I do think P3 looks very good...I hope hope hope they have the little Walter scene! That would be sweet and poignant, wouldn't you say?
I think I've seen the trailer -- the Winter Season trailer with all the non-Austen shows? Where Henry is picking straw out of Catherine's hair?? (I'm assuming you've seen the trailer I'm referring to -- spoilers if you haven't!) I want to know who was kissing under the trees....it looked like CM and HT to me.
Do you like tea?

Date: 2007-03-01 10:12 pm (UTC)I really liked the Daniel Deronda icons. NA, never was my favorite adaptation, but the icons you made were pretty. :)
NA--new version, if they don't make it sensual, I might just like it. Hoping, hoping!
Last Samurai...I don't like Tom Cruise either, but he's fine in Samurai. :) He was decent, sad, etc...I liked his growth. =) Who is Ken Watanabe? *clueless*
Oh yes, the costumes in LotR are gorgeous. I love Galadriel's and Arwen's especially...:)
Oh there is a new trailer up on AustenBlog and the offical ITV sight--that is much better (Without all the clips of other non-austen shows)! Watch it and let me know what you think.
I love tea, Celestial Seasonings has several flavors I like. Orange Spice, Tangerine, yummy. I like fruit flavors. :) And from time to time will have a tea-party with friends and sisters. Raspberry Chocolate Scones are delivious!
Do you?

Date: 2007-03-02 12:14 am (UTC)Glad you liked the icons. I love NA1, may I ask what it is about it that you didn't like? I know most people don't care for it's over-the-top gothic-yness, but I think it's sweet overall. Did the Marchioness have anything to do with your dislike of it?? ;-)
New NA -- yeah, really. :-\ Allegedly Andrew Davies (wrote the Firth/Ehle P&P screenplay, as well as the new ITV NA) originally wanted Darcy to jump into the pond ala natural, but fortunately the filmmakers nixed that one. Hopefully they'll pull the plug on his "additions" to NA2 as well!!
Last Samurai -- TC irritates me, sorry! He always plays himself, IMO. I would have much preferred to see just about anyone else in that role. Ken Watanabe played Katsumoto, the leader of the Samurai?? The guy who liked (and saved) Tom Cruise's character? Taka's brother?
I'll have to see that new preview later. ;-) I have dial up, so if it's a mega download we'll see if I want to wait 40 hours for 30 seconds of JA. ;-)
Yup, tea is great! I love the Harney's teas they sell in Barnes & Noble -- mmm! Lavender Chamomile, Chocolate Mint, and Cinnamon Sunset are all excellent. Plus they come in these fabulous tins.
My mom and I used to do the tea party thing when I was littler. She would even bring out her Princess House china set, and we'd invariably have raspberry tea (my old choice) with Walker's cookies. ;-) Makes me smile to think about it.
Do you like to cross-stitch at all, Anna?
TTYL!
~L. :-)
