Thank you, and yes of course I'll let you know how it works! :-) You right-click the icon you want to take, and Save Target As which should save it onto your harddrive. Then when you upload a userpic on LJ, you click the Browse button and find the icon you saved before. Does that help?

Thank you! I used Pia Frauss's Jane Austen font on the JA banner, Saeculum on the MP one, Porcelain for the first Persuasion, The Kind and Queen Font on the second, and Tagettes for the wedding banner. ;-)

I love fonts, and I needed an excuse to use them! :-P

Yes, of course! That is a promotional photo from the Kate Beckingsale and Mark Strong A&E/BBC version of Emma. It's one of my favourites, and infinitely to be preferred to the Paltrow version, in my humble opinion! ;-)

My pleasure. Glad to hear it worked for you.

To credit you just put < lj user="username" > minus the spaces (but keeping the space between "lj" and "user"). Put the user's name in the username area, in either the little box beneath the icon when you're uploading it, or just type the code next to the banner. It should turn into an active link, like this: olde_fashioned
