Date: 2007-04-26 06:27 am (UTC)I did hear that about the costumes -- that's one of my pet-peeves in costume dramas, but oh well!! (how bad are they??)

Date: 2007-04-26 06:40 am (UTC)A hoodie?!!?? Oh dear. I may not like this one!! What is wrong with doublets and armour and tunics, I'd like to know!
What does Richard Armitage wear? Is he the Sheriff of Nottingham or Guy of Gisborne? Sorry, I forget.
June 5th! Thanks for the info.
I don't know -- we get Masterpiece Theatre, and Brit Coms like As Time Goes By and Keeping Up Appearances that say BBC America, but I don't understand why we never get North & South or RH. *pouts* At least we're getting the new ITV Jane Austens, but we have to wait until November...

Date: 2007-04-26 06:48 am (UTC)Richard Artimage plays Guy of Gisbourne and wears full black leather which he looks very good in! And there are tunics and armour! What is North & South about?

Date: 2007-04-26 06:56 am (UTC)Okay, thank you! Since I've never seen it I have a hard time keeping it straight. Black leather sounds good! I've seen more pics of him around than anyone else, and his costumes don't look so horrible. I love browsing through medieval costuming catalogues -- which give me an idea: you might get a kick out of this! (http://www.museumreplicas.com/)
The North & South that I'm referring to is a mini-series (that I've never seen) based on a book (that I've never read) about the North and South of England, by Elizabeth Gaskell. Gaskell wrote Wives & Daughters which I've just finished, and I've got N&S the book on hold at the library. AND to confuse you further, there is a book about the North vs. the South in the American Civil War, which was also made in to a movie with Patrick Swayze, but I've heard it's unappropriate. THERE! Are you thoroughly confused now, or did you get all that?? lol!!
