costumelims Round 1 entries
May. 11th, 2009 02:27 pmFresh from Round 1, my entries for the Last Icon Maker Standing contest
costumelims. ;-) A bunch of various costume-related themes are all featured in this post, including but not limited to Jane Austen quote icons, the movie Ever After, one each of Pride & Prejudice 2005, North & South, Lorna Doone, as well as a few duplicates because sometimes I made multiples before deciding which to enter. ;-)
As always, never alter my graphics, comment, credit, and enjoy!
Teasers:
Please, if you take anything, be so kind as to take note of the numbers of the icon(s) you're saving, since I am always experimenting with my styles and I would like to know what people like best. (This helps me so I can make more!) The numbers are above the icons.

Date: 2009-05-12 04:44 am (UTC)All the ever after icons especially #11 are gorgeous! Love the use of text in there!
I remember voting for #17 , 18 and 21 ! The JT icon is especially awesome with the whole angsty effect!
But my favourite of all is # 5 !!!!! Simple but such a beautiful icon of Mary and baby Jesus! I`m saving it and will use it one day!
You`ve had a great first round! :D

Date: 2009-05-15 02:06 pm (UTC)and just yesturday I was shopping at my local Walgreens and came across a box of Lorna Doone cookies, thought of this post, and started giggling like a fool. I'm sure people thought I was crazy or something. Anyway, I bought a box. Care to share?

Date: 2009-05-15 02:09 pm (UTC)BTW Have you seen my other comment? (http://olde-fashioned.livejournal.com/118860.html?thread=2760780#t2760780) In case the old link to the pic doesn't work any longer here's a new one. http://scotch-and-sirens.waw.pl/mosaicmiddle2.JPG
Waiting for your answer with caught breath.
Re: Beautiful!
Date: 2009-05-19 06:24 pm (UTC)You can use what you've made, since you've already made it, but typically I prefer people don't alter my graphics any. If you credit the graphic as "made by (you) using olde_fashioned's icons" then that would be fine. :-)
Re: Beautiful!
Date: 2009-05-21 07:08 am (UTC)I credited here: Credits: Header, Icons and Smilies (http://scotch-and-sirens.waw.pl/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4&p=11#p11), saying this:
50 Miles of Good Road's header is made by Sylwia using olde_fashioned's icons. All her icons are astoundingly beautiful. You can find more of them at her blog Olde Fashioned (http://olde-fashioned.livejournal.com/).
I'll also credit you every time anyone mentions the icons throughout the forum, as I expect people will, since they're all so beautiful.
Thanks once again. You've made my day!

Have you ever seen Ever After? I bet it's something you would love, Lindy.
