Because I was tagged by [livejournal.com profile] fineeyes, and as it was written so it must be done, lol! ;-P

a. people who have been tagged must write their answers on their blog and replace any question that they dislike with a new, original question.

b. tag eight people. don't refuse to do that. don't tag who tagged you.

I hereby tag:
[livejournal.com profile] aaania80
[livejournal.com profile] anodiel
[livejournal.com profile] greeneyedmissy
[livejournal.com profile] kf_creations
[livejournal.com profile] ladyneferankh
[livejournal.com profile] littleflower518
[livejournal.com profile] spikesbint
[livejournal.com profile] winterlillies
And anyone else willing to brave these questions!

Now for the actual meme:

01. what are your nicknames?

I don't have any. You can't do a whole lot with "Lauren" and I haven't encouraged the practice because there really isn't any need to shorten a two-syllable name. ;-P

02. how do you style your hair?

Most days around the house I just twist it into a ponytail (no elastic though, causes too much breakage!) coil all 40+ inches into a bun, and clip on both sides with a pair of claw clips.

03. What's new in your life right now?

Nothing really, everything feels more like a case of deja vu at the moment...

04. how many colours are you wearing now?

Umm...lots...I have floral flannel pajamas on right now since it's late at night, but they're predominately pink.

05. are you an introvert or extrovert?

Introvert. I like people and I love a good conversation, but I can't function properly without my alone time. Not that I always get it, mind...

06. what was the last book you read?

The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper. Only I'm not quite finished with it, and probably won't be until after Christmas.

07. do you nap a lot?

Never, unless I'm sick.

08. if the person you secretly like is already taken, what would you do?

That depends on the definition of "taken". Married = hands off in my book, as does engaged, but I wouldn't behave any differently than I normally do if a person was only dating. (for the record, I'm not a flirt and I don't try to steal people's boyfriends.) ;-P

09. is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?

Yes.

10. what was the last thing you ate today?

Oddly enough, like [livejournal.com profile] fineyes I had hot chocolate pudding cake, or chocolate molten lava cake, whatever you want to call it for desert.

11. how long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

Not long at all when we're staying home, but going out? Too long, lol. But I can be completely ready in about an hour...

12. what websites do you visit daily?

Livejournal, the Republic of Pemberley, my brother's blog, usually ArtRenewal.org, and Google.

13. what classes are you taking right now? and if you're not in school any more, what's your job?

No classes as of yet! ;-) And I work at home, helping my mom with her business, as well as doing other stuff around the house, cooking/baking, housework, etc.

14. do you like to clean?

Clean as in organize? Yes. Clean as in scrub toilets? No.

15. what's the last song that got stuck in your head?

Andrea Bocelli's version of Rossini's Petite Messe Solenelle - Domine Deus. It's on his Sacred Arias Christmas album that I dug out the other day and it simply WOULD NOT get out of my head!

16. What's the last movie you saw?

The Dark Knight (♥♥♥) if you mean going out to the theaters, or Winchester '73 (ZZZzzz...) if watching at home counts. ;-P

17. what's better: eternal love or memorable love?

Eternal love, hands down! Who'd want to settle for a memory of something in the past when they could have it forever?

18. what is your least favourite thing to do that you have to do everyday?

WAKE UP AND GET OUT OF BED, UGH! lol! ;-P

19. best time of your life?

I would hope that the best times of my life are still yet to come. :-)

[new question, rewritten by me]
20. In an introduction to a book I read years ago, the author of the intro (not the novel itself) told a story of how she had refound a list written as a small girl, with the three things she wanted to do when she grew up: "have horses, write books, and marry a cowboy, in that order." She went on to say that she did indeed do those very things, but if you were to write your own list of three things, what would they be and why?

Is it cheating if my own list is not unlike that of the aforementioned author? I want to marry a good Christian man (being a cowboy certainly wouldn't hurt, but it's not a requirement, lol), have a happy family, healthy children of my own, and someday publish some of those pesky stories that refuse to stay out of my head...;-)

Okay, now it's everyone else's turn! ;-)

That is so odd that we both ate the same thing last night! I hope yours was as good as mine :).

Also, I like your new question :). I actually had changed that question from where I originally got the meme, too :P.

Yes, I thought so, too! Only I baked mine myself, lol. I've had it at restaurants and Souplantation's version is pretty good, only I prefer homemade. ;-D

Ah, did you? Thank you! :-)

Sadly I find scrubbing my own toilet relaxing. I remember when I was 10 or so my punishment (gosh I can't even remember what it was) was to scrub the toilet and when I was done my dad said to me, "Have you learned now?" I said, "Yes, but can I go do yours too?" Both my parents were shocked.

Hi there! I've kind of been lurking around your journal (your icons are lovely!), and I was wondering if I could friend you? I love all the costume drama and classic literature appreciation!

We're total political opposites, but if that doesn't bother you, it definitely doesn't bother me! (Actually, I really admire your conviction and I find it enlightening to look at opposite viewpoints.) So, yeah, that's my spiel. :)

Sorry for the delay in replying. Thank you for the compliments! Feel free to friend me if you like! Thanks for asking in advance, I do appreciate it. ;-) I'm perfectly content to "agree to disagree" with anyone and enjoy intelligent and polite conversation. :-)
