If you're reading this and you're a guy, spare yourself some pain and don't read any further. Girls, guess what I got yesterday? SHOES! :-D (see, I told you guys not to look!!) lol.

Yesterday, due to Spencer's taking another test (he passed btw, coughHOORAYFORMYBROTHERcough) my mom and I decided to head over to a Nordstrom's Rack to use up a giftcard that my dad got from work, and gave to me. After a little browsing, (I headed straight for the shoe department, ha ha) two darling pairs emerged and begged to be taken home. They were less than half off, so I complied. ;-P I also took pics of them to share:

Say hello to my new black t-straps! I just love these, they are so Vintage looking. They remind me of something from the 20s or 30s. ♥ It makes me want a swing-type dress to go with them, lol!

These are very similar to the t-straps, only they're pumps. The color is very interesting, almost a cordovan with a reddish-brown tinge. I think I smell a tweed or plaid skirt in the future...

I had trouble getting this image to come out, in the afternoon light. And I should have taken a shot of the soles, because they're almost as beautiful as the uppers! They have a lovely floral almost brocade-like design in addition to delicate stitching and details that are only able to be fully appreciated in person. Oh well.

I'm not sure how many of my readers care about shoes, but as I always enjoy entries about "loot" and I haven't blogged about them in over a year, I'm doing it anyway. *folds arms and points nose in the air*

So THATS what a girly post is like....

Maybe I won't bother in the future.

But when you say,"don't read any further" what do you expect a self-respecting guy to do? Comply? NO WAY!

ROTFLOL!! I figured you'd get unwittingly subjected to this, so I decided to have pity on your masculinity and warn you. You can't blame me when you're the one who clicked!! (and really, Caleb -- what would you expect from a girl who has a pink layout with pink dresses on it??) :-P

You should have seen Spencer's face when he found out I'd photographed my shoes and sent them to our grandma.

Ahem. It's called deliver us from temptation...

I love them, too, and I get a (ridiculously) big kick out of them on shoes. I have a pair of black and white gingham flats that have bows, too...;-)

Deliver you from the temptation of curiosity, in clicking on something you were warned not to. ;-P

Oh my gosh! I would LOOOOOVE to have those shoes! I actually went to Nordstrom Rack two days ago looking for new shoes to wear with my going away dress, and in a 30s or 40s vintage style no less, and they didn't have anything. There was one cute pair of shoes but they weren't on sale enough to entice me.

What brand are those? I might have to see if I can find some pairs for myself.

What is the sole of those shoes made of? Is it synthetic like plastic or rubber, or is it leather?

honestly - they are really very very beautiful. I think I like the reddish ones better but I'd take the other pair to with no second thoughts.

I have "a thing" for shoes also mainly because of my very narrow feet. I cannot decide which pair I like best. The T straps are certainly Vintage Flapper. I love the bows and design on the red ones. It is ashame that you do not have four feet. Then you could wear both pairs at once!

You're right, they do look like something out of the '20s or '30s! LOVE the vintage look! If only I could find shoes so easily. I have THE narrowest feet in the world! More narrow than a pencil! (Excuse the hyperbole. =P)

God help me, I read further. ;-D

But nice shoes! I do enjoy a new pair, myself; there's nothing like the look and feel of something fresh on oneself, and shopping is half the fun. ^_^

I love both pairs! I have such trouble finding shoes that fit and aren't ridiculously expensive that I've given up buying new ones. I have done very well at finding them at garage sales this summer, though.

LOL = shoe spam!

I LOVE these! They're ADORABLE! :D Aren't vintage-y shoes The Best? I have a pair of leather ankle boots that I love to death that pass both as Colonial boots and pointy-toed boots to go with jeans. *hugs shoes*

I don't know what it is about shoes. I have a ton of pairs, even though I usually just wear flip-flops. >.< But I always love looking at the shoe sections!

LOL!! This cracks me up, because I spent half the day tracking down a pair for my grandma, who fell in love with them herself when I emailed her the pics. ;-P

They are Pikolinos, and the style is Cuba. Obviously they're black t-straps...you would not believe how many shoe department employees I talked to today have no idea what that is!! I got one guy who thought a heel was a flat. I think they're clearanced out or rare or something, because let me warn you upfront I had a hard time tracking them down!! I have the item number and price that I can email to you if you would like me to. They said on the phone that the info was helpful.

I'm not sure if it's leather, but I think it is. I honestly don't think they're plastic, and they're not rubber. They looked like tooled leather.

LOL!! I almost didn't get the second pair, because I felt kinda guilty. ;-P But I am very glad I did! The color is much more beautiful in person.

ROTFLOL!! Your comment about four feet made me laugh when I read it. :-D I'm going to see if I can find a nice 30s dress or skirt style I like to copy for myself. ;-)
