I now have a mood theme! :-D

It's the lovely new Elizabeth Gaskell mood theme created by [livejournal.com profile] miss_kallahan HERE and installed using [livejournal.com profile] crackified's tutorial HERE, for those of you who are going to ask me. ;-P But that info's in my profile, anyways.

*proceeds to scroll through them all*

Awwww, yay!! I'm so glad you liked it. :-D When I first saw it I pulled a marathon one sitting as well. ;-)

It is wonderful, isn't it? And the book's just as fabulous -- I'm sure you'd like that, too. :-)

I got goosebumps at "I do not wish to possess you I wish to marry you!" 8-)

I wish to heck the soundtrack was available. Sigh. :-/

Are you planning on iconing it, lol?

ah-ha, very well! :) is there anything else for you to suggest from bbc and the like? "very much obliged" if you might.
oh yeah, as soon as i can find some money to hold on to, i'm only doing volunteer work this summer... perhaps the library, but i would love to be able to read it over and over without obligations elsewhere.

totally "look back, look back at me"

and i do as well, everyone on youtube seemed to express a similar disappointment, i'll probably record it from youtube and see if i can make the tape cd tranfer later in life.. "and it is snow white" (the hairs on side of my neck just went up!)

bien sûr, there are so many moment i wish to attempt to capture and share, i would save and spend money on photoshop just to get the movie clips (like at the dinner when the strike is going on and mr. thorton shakes margret's hand, and lets going with a linger! wow) into icons from this series. yes, it is too much of an awesome film not to share through iconing! as i have noticed :)

once again, not and a profuse mr. collins manner:

thank you

I've tried to keep a by-no-means exhaustive list, but something to get askers of this question started. ;-) HERE (http://olde-fashioned.livejournal.com/tag/%21recommended+costume+dramas).

"Look back at me" has got to be one of the BBC's best angsty moments EVER!! ;-D And I agree with all your other sentiments. :-)

Hooray! :-D I'll look forward to that. ;-) There are tons of communities for you to promote them at, if you would like to. :-) [livejournal.com profile] bbccostumedrama is the "biggest" and would probably get the most traffic.

p.s Have you seen the HBO series John Adams?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4arisEQOmek&feature=related <- You must listen to the Intro Title to it though!! :)

This one is of less quality, but it has more than one photo -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1TEtDvX_aU&feature=related As it plays they show fading in and out parts (in the series) the flag of "Join or Die" parts of the colonies as it moves against the darkness. It is a great series so far, as I have watched only a handful. Very impressive screen play and justice to the history I think- but it is very serious. Truly. Very patriotic I think, I don't know yet, but if you are curious it is there - unless you have seen it already!

The soundtrack is, unfortunately unlike North and South, available on Cd! http://store.hbo.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3097218

What do you think of it? :/ :)

I haven't, but I very much wanted to see it, before I heard it had "objectionable scenes" in it. :-( I was most disappointed to learn that.

oh yeah, it is very mature at times but i am certain the patriotism is worth seeing and reading of- i haven't watched all but yes i agree.
