A request...
Jul. 17th, 2008 07:30 pmTo those of you who are movie-goers, Batman fans, or otherwise become informed of the plot of The Dark Knight -- please, please, please don't spoil it for me! I don't want to know even the teeny tiniest details about the movie. I do so hate it when someone else blurts it before even putting a spoiler warning when I'm trying to avoid them. And I'm still sick so I might get extra grumpy!! (just kidding -- lol)
I'll bet not many of you know I'm a bit of a closet fan of the most recent installment in the franchise? (I've been resisting the temptation to icon it, so far.....) It's my dad and brother's fault, lol. I was wholly uninterested in Batman Begins when it came out, but my dad rented it, and we watched it. Now my brother is fond of it as well, (he especially likes the martial arts) and so it's grown on me. ;-) I must say Christopher Nolan gets a big applause for rescuing and putting the man back into Batman. No more of that silly cartoon-y slapstick stuff like they had in the old movies. *holds nose and tries to look snobby*
(I am also hereby predicting that Rachel aka Maggie Gyllenhall-however-the-heck-you-spell-it's character is going to get killed off. ^-^ Don't ask me why, I just have a hunch, and I want to be able to say I told you so later. ;-P lol.)
Yes, I do want to see it, but no, I am not going to see it in the theater (I'll Netflix the DVD when it comes out).
Thanks in advance. ^-^

Date: 2008-07-19 11:28 pm (UTC)Quite literally, Heath Ledger became the Joker, and that's what killed him. But I gotta hand it to the guy--he didn't die in vain!
I'll be seeing the movie my second time tonight. ^_^

Date: 2008-07-20 12:52 am (UTC)How sad. :-( Not thatI was a fan of his or anything (I wasn't) but it's still pretty sad that he died, and because of a role he played?? I wonder how his daughter is going to feel about this movie.
Ooooohh, you!!! *throws things at you* Nathan, no fair!!!!!! :-P (I'm just joking -- seriously, I hope you have fun!)
Were many movie-goers in costume when you went to the midnight showing?
