A batch of icons from new artists that I recently stumbled across on the ARC. ;-) There are two from Thomas Eakins, and the rest are mostly John White Alexander. I love the feminine delicacy of these.

I was particular fond of number 5 and saved it. =) I really prefer modest women that don't seem to be tied down to a specific time period. It's hard to find that, but #5 came closer. Thank you, your icons are always fantastic!

Thank you for the comment! Glad you liked them, and I know what you mean about modest "non-period" women. It IS hard! But I think that Fragonard's girl reading a book is pretty close too, even though she's c. 1770. ;-)

Don't you just love it -- she's complaining about people hotlinking, and that's exactly what she's doing with mine. I'll go swap the URL out on her. ;-P

The one with the girl and a camera reflected in a mirror is stolen, too, because I saw that in someone else's batch and it's got a LJ userpic address. The "boys in books" I've seen before, too. If I remembered the person's name I'd go tell them. :-/ *sigh* There ought to be an icon theif community.
