Sense & Sensibility (2008): Icons

My first official batch of icons from the new Sense & Sensibility. :-) Do I need yet another subject to icon? Not really, but oh well. ;-P It's too pretty to pass up.

Twenty icons of the Dashwood sisters, mostly Elinor. Sorry, no heroes this time around! ;-P

As always, my icons are not bases so do not alter, please credit/comment with the numbers if taking, and enjoy!

5 - the crop, 6 - the b&w and text and red--but the contrast is a little severe, 7 - crop! so pretty!, 11 - crop and color, 10 - texture and text and heart, 14 - color and crop! I really like this one for some reason, 17 and 18 - crop and color, 19 - pretty eyeball! , 20 - like your Lizzy icon, aye? :) Very nice.

Several of them are a little over exposed... But I'm sure you know that. ;)

Edit: Well, I decided perhaps I should push back the laptop screen and make sure it wasn't the laptop's fault, and now the icons aren't so bright. :) The first couple are still kinda bright but the rest look great. :D

*bows* Thank you, ma'am! :-D I am glad several of them, at least, meet your approval. ;-P And yes, like my Lizzy icon. Exactly! (if it ain't broke, don't fix it...)

Do you really think they are? Because I knew they were bright and "sunny" looking, but maybe I went a little overboard. :-/

just curious... is the new sense & sensibility any good because i was very disappointed in the old one. Icons are beautiful.

I like it, but then again I love the old one, too. They both have their faults and virtues, IMO. I would say that this new one is perhaps a little "younger" and "fresher" than the '95 version, if for no other reason than the cast is younger. If you like the Kiera Knightley P&P then I would wager you will like this S&S because it "borrowed" some elements from P&P. ;-)

I have to say that you have great taste in music! "Deliver Me" is an awesome song. I really like it. Have you heard Sarah's other song, "Beautiful"?

Haha, thank you! ;-D No, I have not heard that song. We just bought her albums Symphony and Diva. So far I like the latter best, with Deliver Me, Tu Quieres Volver, A Whiter Shade of Pale, and of course PotO. ;-D Which album is Beautiful on?

I just finished watching Wives & Daughters. :) So when does the book cut off? It was a very difficult story--did remind me a bit of Mansfield Park. I don't know how I could manage the book itself, but the movie was pretty good. Laura broke a light (knocked it over when she dramatically threw out her arms in the rain/carriage/run scene).

Ohhh, yaaayyy!! :-D I think it's a lot like MP, only sweeter and not as morbid. How did you like it?

IIRC the book ends (rather abruptly, I might add) with Mrs. Gibson talking to Molly about something of no importance, but Cynthia's already broken off with Roger and it's pretty obvious that Molly is going to end up with him, it's just not shouted from the rooftops anywhere. I forget if Cynthia's already married to Mr. Henderson or not.

Did you recognize Tom Hollander/Mr. Collins as Osbourn Hamley, and Rosamund Pike/your Jane Bennet as Lady Harriet Cumnor? ;-D (and her mother [a vewwy wespectabble mawwaige] was Lady Catherine in the '95 P&P)
