My First Entry: Hello and Welcome!

(That means "Greetings to the Reader" in Latin! You'll have to forgive my frequent use of Latin and Jane Austen quotes -- I have a habit of doing that!)

Welcome to my very first blog and online journal! I have never had a blog before, you know, so this is all quite a new experience for me. I've wanted one for quite a while, and when my brother got one, of course I had to have one too. ;-)

This blog is going to be about many different things, most of which are old fashioned. (Hence the name!) Costumes, historical clothing, fashion history, period dramas, books, and the occaisional ramble are all things that you will find here. I'll post links to things that I like, paintings and drawings that I find to be beautiful, (fully clothed, I promise!!!!), and I fully intend to try my hand at icon and avatar making very soon! (I have to practice first.)

I'm afraid I haven't much to tell, nor much time to tell it in, but I promise to try and update as often as I can.
