Date: 2007-10-10 10:41 pm (UTC)Was it? That's something that drives me up the wall, bad accents. ;-) Couldn't they have stood him on a box?

Date: 2007-10-10 10:45 pm (UTC)I do like Mark Strong as well :D He is really great as 'Septimus' in Stardust. I was a bit upset I did not see him at the premiere, although I know he was there!

Date: 2007-10-11 02:44 am (UTC)Did you go to the Stardust premier? Haven't seen that one, but we rented Tristan + Isolde just to see him. Did you see Syriana? 8-o

Date: 2007-10-11 11:34 am (UTC)I did! But I promise I am not a fangirl. :D I think it is a charming film, but Michelle Pheiffer did not need to be in it with her horrible accent. And I do like Claire Dances, and she does a good accent, butttttt I think she lacked chemistry with the lead.
Tristan & Isolde...as much as I like James Franco, I wish they had not casted him.
Nope! I've not seen Syriana. How is it?

Date: 2007-10-11 08:24 pm (UTC)LOL! I believe you. Did you get to dress up and get your picture taken with any famous personages? hee hee!
T+I -- I do not care for James Franco, and I thought Tristan's character was dull. I kept wanting to know what was the matter with Isolde! A nice king like Marke? Tristan who??? lol!
I didn't watch anything other than a few scenes with Mark Strong -- and he plays a reeeeaaaallllyyy bad guy!!!!

Date: 2007-10-11 09:14 pm (UTC)NopeNope. I refuse to get into photos with anyone. That is how un-fangirly I am. :D But I took a great one of my friend with Charlie Cox.
I think James is very handsome and a good actor, just miscast often. Argh and Spiderman....:{ BUT I AGREE!!! Marke was so handsome and well Isolde was an idiot.

Date: 2007-10-11 10:00 pm (UTC)I actually thought James Franco was better in Spiderman than he was as Tristan. ;-) But I was hoping Isolde would grow a brain and choose Marke! He was genuinely kind, and Tristan was just a selfish brat. lol. Have you seen The Great Raid, if you like JF?

Date: 2007-10-11 10:49 pm (UTC)I hate the way famous people. :{ I hate the idea of celebrity and how untalented people are famous for no reason what-so-ever. :{
Oh I agree! He was better in Spiderman. I am just so sick of that franchise.
Yeah! I've seen the Great Raid. Joseph Fiennes is in it I believe? :D

Date: 2007-10-12 01:23 am (UTC)I'm sick to death of Spiderman! I always liked Batman better anyways. ;-P Have you seen Batman Begins?
I'm not sure, since I'm always getting Joseph and Ralph confused! lol! I think Connie Neilson is a pretty good actress, from what I've been able to see of her.

Date: 2007-10-12 01:15 pm (UTC)Hahah! I've always found Joseph to be the better looker and actor. He is in Elizabeth and Shakespeare in Love. Ralph was in the English Patient.
Connie Nielson is great! Especially in Gladiator.

Date: 2007-10-12 08:11 pm (UTC)So, Ralph was in The Great Raid, and Joseph was in Elizabeth? I like Ralph better, then. Sorry! Dudley in Elizabeth irritates me...
She should have won an Oscar for that IMVHO...even though it's not a favourite movie, she still did a good job. (and her costumes -- wow! Not 100% accurate, but still so pretty...)
BTW -- I am sitting here loving all these fashion plate looking lady icons you're using. They're wonderful! :-)

Date: 2007-10-12 11:38 pm (UTC)No no, Joseph was also in The Great Raid. :D http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001212/
OH. I agree! As much as I love Shakespeare in Love, Cate's performance was far better than Gwyneth's. The costumes are amazing!!! I hope they are equally as great in the second film.
Thank you! And of course I love yours :D

Date: 2007-10-15 08:34 pm (UTC)Ha ha! Yes. :-)
Oh, okay. Mea culpa! Thanks. (I told you I get them confused!!)
From what I've seen of the Golden Age promo images and the icons here on LJ, they seem to be verrrrry impressive indeed....
Thank you!! I love that pose/scene/the way they're holding each other. It's so sweet, and even while watching OMF I knew I had to icon that...;-) I've a bunch more "in progress" but they're not as good as I'd like them to be. :-/ I guess I need to work harder and then blog them! lol.

Date: 2007-10-15 09:26 pm (UTC)I hope the Golden Age is better than everyone is saying. But I am not too hopeful.
Well all of your icons are fab! So I am sure they will all turn out great. :D

You're being sweet, thank you. :-D
