34 icons: 22 of the artwork of Elizabeth Vigee Le Brun and 12 of some Vintage Italian lady coasters of mine. I think these are Vintage, but sadly the ones for March and December have been lost. :-( As for the Vigee Le Brun icons, I just couldn't get enough of her artwork! Some of the costumes depicted are vasilate between late-Georgian and Regency. I love her choice of colors!

Please credit and comment, right-click to see the name of the painting, and don't steal or hotlink. Enjoy!

I adore Elizabeth Vigee Le Brun and these are beautifully done. I'm saving a bunch for use over at my art journal [livejournal.com profile] art_lover. Will credit when used.

I think all of them are, except for the portrait after Lavoisier's wife.

Oooh, tough question! I rather like both, but not many people are going to understand what a chemise a la reine is, so maybe 1780s fashions are better?

Unless you want one really really looooonnng banner, I can't fit all of those paintings. Would it be okay if I picked 5 or 6? (or you could tell me your favourites)

Seriously! There's at least 8 or 9 images there. I normally do 5 or 6 100x100 images on one banner. Would you like a double-row of images, or smaller sized pics, like 80x80?

Addictive? Who says we're addicted to anything? I just thought we were obsessed!! HAHA!

Okay! Will do. :-)

Why, no one! I don't know any obsessed people, do you? *peers at f-list and pauses* Nope! No fashion-fanatics to be found! ;-P

Oooh, I've a few that I like to get from the library, and some Dover handbooks on the shelf at home. I should type up a list for you later!

I love that book you linked, though!!

Ah! Marie Antoinette, no?

It's not too late -- I haven't started it yet! I'm not that fast, silly!!

Thank you for the kind offer! I'll certainly let you know if I think of something. Thanks! :-)

Thank you! I love the jewelry she's wearing. The pearls almost remind me of the tiara Princess Diana used to wear.

LOL!!! Hey, who are we kidding? If I had the time and means, I'd *be* one of those costumers. ;-) In the mean time, I draw and dream!

Yes, and handy references, too. Masterpieces of Women's Costume is a good one, and they even have the patterns for you. Tom Tierney's paperdolls are fun for ideas... since he's not always 100% accurate.

By Norah Waugh? I think that's the one that I really love. Is that the one with all the sketches?

No! Yet another gem from you. Thank you! (like I need to waste more time making icons! Ack!)

Silken? Heck, what about the muslins and the linens and the reproduction cottons and the buttons and the ribbons and....

I've sketched some out of that. It's easier for me to sketch a sketch than to sketch a photo. :-)

ROTFLOL!!!! You're funny!

Hey!

Hi Lauren!
How are you! Sorry but this is the only way I could think of to contact you because I don't know if LJ has messaging and stuff!
Anway, I had a queston. How do you give credit to someone? Like if you take an icon of someone's and they say to credit.
Thanx!
~Rose~

Hey back!

I'm fine, thanks for asking! I think LJ does have a messaging feature called Jabber, but I don't know how to use it, so comments are just fine!

When you upload your icon (and I see you've already figured that part out -- nice icon BTW!!) you type <.lj user="user_name".> in the comment box, minus the periods but keeping the space between "lj" and "user". If you'd like me to take a screencap I'd be more than happy to!

Let me know if this helps you!
