Hayley Westenra's new album

I've been meaning to post this here for a week, but I've been somewhat busy. ;-)
For those of you who do not know, I am a mega Celtic Woman fan, (i.e. NUT) and that means that I now am a fan of Hayley Westenra as well. ;-) Her new album(s) was released earlier this month.
Here's the catch though -- the US version, which is about $13 at Amazon, has two songs from CW's A New Journey (which I already have) and it does NOT have like four songs that the UK version does. However, the UK version costs more than thirty bucks on Amazon, so alas! it's over to eBay we go. ;-)
You simply MUST listen to Summer Rain!! It's gorgeous.....
Sound clips:
Hayley's official site
Has an audio clip section at the left -- after one or two times it quits buffering, but if you're not dial up it might not act up.
US version on Amazon
UK/International version on Amazon
I wannie dis one!! *buybuybuy*
Gee, whaddaya know?? I just updated my blog without making an icon post...there's something for the record books...

Date: 2007-03-27 04:12 pm (UTC)I hate it when they have special editions for different countries that have more songs!
As far as music goes I adore The Celtic Women,Josh Groban,Hayley Westenra,The Irish Tenors,Rebecca St.James,Michael Card,Russel Watson,Liberia,Aled Jones,etc.
As far as classical composers go I adore Handel,Bach,Mendelssohn and Mozart.Baroque is my favorite era of music.
Do you play any instruments? I play the piano and take voice lessons.

Date: 2007-03-27 08:31 pm (UTC)I like Rebecca St. James, especially her Worship album. I love her Wait For Me song, and her whole campaign on that is wonderful IMO.
I like Handel, Bach, Mozart, and esp. Beethoven. Are you at all familiar with English Country Dancing style music? You might like it if you like Baroque.

Date: 2007-03-28 04:39 pm (UTC)I love Rebbecca St.James song 'Wait for Me'.Every-time I get discouraged and think their is no-one out there I remember that song.:)
So do you plan on dating or doing Courtship? I am going to do courtship.
I do love English Country Dancing style music! It is right up my alley.:)
Have you ever heard Renaissance music? I go a cd of it and love it!

I know! That song is so wonderful, and -- I hesitate to use such a cliche phrase -- inspiring.
And as for there being "no one out there", somewhere there is Someone listening to that very song, thinking of how there are no girls out there. ;-)
I am going to do Courtship. Dating = yuck. ;-)
I listened to some Amazon clips of Ren music when I was picking my ECD cd's, and some of it was nice. But one cannot resist being reminded of the Netherfield Ball! ;-)

Date: 2007-03-29 11:48 pm (UTC)I try to tell myself that their are guys out there waiting for girls like us and I know it is true, but I get sorely tried sometimes.Maybe they are all hiding out in England (yeah, right).:)
Courtship is so much better!

Date: 2007-03-30 03:10 am (UTC)Same here. ;-) I think it's rather easy to begin to despair, esp. when one is surrounded by morons. ROTFLOL about England!! ;-) Surely there must be a few here, although I confess I am such an Anglophile I would probably rather enjoy marrying an Englishman! ;-)
Yup, yup!! TLW!!

Date: 2007-03-30 02:57 pm (UTC)Yes,marrying a English man is not at all a disagreeable.:) I have a friend marrying a Aussie and his accent is wonderful!:)
Have you been able to travel much?

Date: 2007-03-30 11:10 pm (UTC)I like Aussies. ;-) They're fun to listen to, but then so are all residents of the UK. ;-)
Nope. Not unless you count Arizona! I take it you have? I'd love to go to England someday though....*sighs dreamily*
