John William Waterhouse, has been one of my absolute favourite artists ever since I learned of his existence. He needs no preamble, and this time around I've gone for a much simpler approach, to better allow the beauty of the original works to do all the talking. ;)

I've preserved the title of the each painting in the URL and file names.

As always, never alter my graphics, comment, credit, and enjoy!

I took 37. That's one of my favorites of his works, other than The Lady of Shallot. Years ago, I had made a bookmark from Lady Claire. There's no telling where it's at now. ;-) I love the style of her hair and the neckline of her dress. That is exactly how I want my dress and hair to look like when I get married...when ever that will be, if ever.

I love that one, as well, but then I love most of his works. I'm pretty partial to Lamia's hair, too!

I'm right there with you in wanting a period wedding; I like so many different eras that I'll just have to let my future husband do the choosing. ;) A medieval themed wedding would be pretty epically awesome, though!!!

Haha. I know what you mean. I've recently started a folder on my laptop with ideas. I've been to so many weddings in the past two years that I'm starting to get ideas and being nick picky about the things that brides do for there weddings. But I as do see the different things, I know what I want and what I don't. I'm going to a wedding next month. I may do a post about weddings after that one.

I definitely want that neckline, the flared sleeves, and an empire waist. With my stature being petite and my bust being a bit top heavy, empire waists look good on me. That's what I looked for in a dress for the New Year's Eve Gala I went to at the start of the year.
