icons: Marie Antoinette

Even though I'm probably the last person in the galaxy to have seen this movie (let alone iconing it), I finally understand why the gowns from Marie Antoinette are generally referred to as "candy" dresses. There's an unbelievable amount of pretty! Pretty clothes, pretty hairstyles, pretty food, even. Pretty shoes (sans the Chucks, grrr...), pretty music SOME of the time (LOL), and pretty scenery (Versailles!).

Hopefully these turned out as pretty as I tried to make them. ;-D

Saved 22 and 32 :)

Just yesterday I was looking for MA caps for a 20in20 challenge and I've saved so many of the ones you've used here :) There's also caps here (http://therumsgone.com/gallery/index.php?cat=13). They are slightly smaller but I find that they sometimes have better color (especially the darker scenes).

I've been thinking of capping the movie myself, but it's *still* not out on blu-ray, it seems :/

Icon number 008 is simply perfect imho! The texture works incredibly well with the ruffles and lace on Marie Antoinette's dresses. I have saved the icon alongside icon number 004. Thanks for sharing! :-)

LOL! It's definitely worth a watch, if for nothing else than to see the costumes (and Versailles!) for yourself. They're gorgeous in the stills, but even more so whilst moving on the screen. ;-)

I never got around to watching this movie coz of the bad reviews it got but wow your icons are inspiring olde! :D The colors are so gentle and pretty! Love 1,10,11,17,21,28,30,35 and 36 (the coloring in this one is too gorgeous!)
