icons: Costume Dramas

Loads and loads of icons just sitting on my hard drive collecting dust, so here is one of the many upcoming batches I am planning!

Three of my (many) favourite costume dramas are North & South, The Last of the Mohicans, and Lorna Doone. Each one has a great romance and gorgeous but not flashy or "distracting" costumes, set off by exquisite scenery and musical scores. What's not to love? ;-)

Simply gorgeous icons! You're N&S ones are just stunning, but my favorites would be your LotM ones! They're just jaw droppingly beautiful! I love the one of Alice (Inner Alice/Uncas shipper fangirl squee!)

Thank you very much! And I'm so glad my LotM ones seem to have gone over well, I just love that movie. And Uncas/Alice, SQUEEEEE is right!!!! I was so mad when I heard they didn't let them have their romance scene, HMPH. :-P

I would have had scores more of Alice if I hadn't had such an incredibly difficult time finding images. Poor Uncas is barely even visible in #21, LOL!

Yes, or rather, my brother does, and I just listen to his. ;-P It's a lovely soundtrack, not like you didn't know. I love "I Will Find You"! (Ticks me off that Michael Mann took it out of the Director's Cut and DVDs, meaning that if you want the song in the movie, you have to hang onto your VHS. Grrr....)

Oh, I adored Daniel Day-Lewis in LotM; and the movie too; and I'm snagging #25, because it's got the best, clearest view of the actor in that wonderful role. Thank you! I will credit when I use it.

but wow these are so pretty! Watch out for the CA noms ;D
21,22,26,28,31,37 and 36 are so lovely! You have such a great way with b&w icons! :D
And from N&S I love 1,6 and 7! You capture the atmosphere of the series so beautifully with that misty effect! *sigh*

Love 5 & 7 crop and colouring are great - nice and dramatic.

11 & 13 have great crops and I like the negative space in 22 & 38.
