The completion of my Batman Begins icons100 claim, trimmed down to mere 175. (Did anyone think I'd really stop at a mere hundred? LOL!) I stumbled across some foreign promotional posters, concept art, and extra DVD material and I had loads of fun making them, so that helped bulk the quantity up. The quality I'll leave for others to judge. ;-)

I've seen her in Becoming Jane, which was a period movie about Jane Austen, and she got some pretty decent critical acclaim for Rachel Getting Married (in which she played an addict of some flavor), so I think she has the chops to pull it off, but it's definitely a wait-and-see situation.

Yes, a definite big difference. I think it's been mostly the fans who are jumping the Catwoman gun, but I do wish everyone would just sit back and chill out. People get so worked up over this stuff when they really have no idea what's going to happen.

OH, BUT THEY'RE SUCH FUN XD They're guilty pleasures, what can I say? Hee. But yes, the Bane breaking Batman's back thing does kind of make me wonder what route they'll be taking in this movie. I know Nolan has said this is his final Batman film, so is he planning to go that route? It's something to ponder.

Oh, I'm definitely planning on going. I have two friends planning to come visit for it, one I've already mentioned here (the one I've made the list with of Jim-related things we want to see), and another, and we're definitely intending to be at the midnight showing, squeeing every time Jim is on screen and annoying everybody else in the theater XD

OH I forgot about Becoming Jane. I saw that but was much too annoyed by the blatant skulduggery in trying to pass of that contrived Lefroy romance as Jane's "real" reasons for her talent. *scowls*

Hahahaaa, I just giggle and snicker and facepalm throughout them, so I know what you mean about them being fun I suppose... >;P

I know Nolan supposedly said that's his last, but I'm hoping for a "reunion" film 10 or 20 years down the road--maybe even a Batman Beyond flick! :D :D :D

I'd like very much to go with some friends who live out of state, so hopefully I can convince them to come out and visit me so we can all go together in one big herd! LOL! (I want to do something dressing-up-y, just not in costume. I'll have to snag a Batman tee or something!)

Hahahaha, when I saw TDK I stood in line behind a girl who was going on about Christian Bale being "hot" and a "piece of meat", and I was probably the loudest (if not the only; sadly) squealer in the entire theater when Fox made his "Should do fine against cats" reference.

Speaking of which, I don't think it can be denied now that Nolan doesn't give clues to his next set of villains in the previous film!! Everyone knows they mention cats in TDK; now to find the Bane reference.....!!

They're just something to watch when they're on, and I rather enjoyed Clooney's Batman. If only he hadn't been saddled with the worst movie of the lot.

Yuss, I'm in Florida and my one friend is in Illinois, and the other is all the way in England, so I'm very excited at them coming to visit that summer. It's centered about TDKR, but we've got other stuff planned too XD AND YES, I need a t-shirt. I'd desperately love a Jim one, but apparently Gary/Jim is not marketable or something, because there isn't anything of him. To which I say rubbish, he's totes marketable XD

Mmm, I definitely enjoy Batman for the older actors, I think. Gary, obviously, and then Morgan and Michael all play my favorite characters. I love their scenes the most XD

Ooooh! There's a point. I was already planning a Nolan!Batman marathon, now there's just one more reason to do it XD

Hahah i confess I watch them too if they're on TV! I'm inclined to think Val Kilmer's was the better of the bunch, but it's admittedly been a while since I saw the Clooney one.

I actually watched them both today, but was doing stuff while I watched TDK, so I couldn't pay very close attention to it. I guess this means I'll just have to watch it again... XD

Oh, man, I know. I know it gets some flak, but I really love Nolan's series. Well acted and well directed... any new version of the series will have some big shoes to fill XD

I know it does, too, and while I'm not going to deny the existence of a flaw or two per se (*coughKatieHolmescough*), I STILL don't get people who dislike the series (I mean fans of the genre--obviously my mom hates the stuff ha ha ha) and/or prefer the Burton/Schumacher films. Or Batman "fans" who, when asked what they think of the Nolan films, reply, "Who?"

Big shoes, indeed--I sincerely doubt there will be a live-action franchise reboot of Batman for at least two dozen years--and if there IS, then they're nuts.

Excuses? Who needs excuses? LOL! I think the passage of time is a good enough excuse..."Say, it's been three weeks since we last watched it..."

Oh, there are definitely flaws, everything has flaws, but overall it's been an amazing series, and I think people who try to deny that are the people who are like, "Oh, I'm a fan of the older stuff/the comics" and act like they're too good, or those people who actively try to avoid really popular stuff without ever actually giving it a shot.

This is very trufax, I think it'll be a while before someone tries to revamp it. It's like how people are already talking about doing a remake of Harry Potter, I'm like, ...really?

Dude, this is what I'm saying. Though I went through a period of time where I watched TDK like, every single night... I just love it so much XD

Well, the casting of Katie and Maggie for Rachel, for one thing. Maggie was a little better than Katie, but I don't think either of them was really suited for the role. I read in the trivia on IMDB that Rachel McAdams was considered for the role, and I really wish she had been cast, because I think she would've been perfect. I also didn't particularly enjoy Ducard as the villain in Batman Begins, but that might just be more of a personal preference sort of thing than an actual flaw. You've put me on the spot, I can't think of anything else XD

Ugh, HOW DARE THEY. TDK is seriously one of the best movies I've seen, there's so much that's just so great about it.

I'm inclined to agree with you entirely. Maggie was at a much greater disadvantage in having to stand up to the comparisons to Katie the entire time--Rachel McAdams was good in State of Play, so that's not a bad thought! A bit "sultry" (I think Rachel was supposed to be a bit more girl-next-door), but hmmm....

Ducard, or Liam Neeson? The whole Ducard thing was a huge wild card and great way to change up the Raz-living-forever stuff...

I think Rachel can play girl next door quite well, she's kind of got that sweet but feisty way about her, which I think could've worked quite well for Rachel the character. Also, I do admittedly have an ever growing desire to see her and Gary work together, so that would've pleased my little fangirl heart had she been cast XD

It might have just been Liam, I've always been sort of meh about him. That's why I say more personal preference than a flaw, and also not knowing much beyond what's in the movies, so I didn't know anything really about Ducard's character or story.
