icons: The Dark Knight & Batman Begins

More icons of The Dark Knight, some left over from when I was making my first batch, others made when I was in the mood for TDK (Heath Ledger's win was about the only good thing about the Oscars) and also some Batman Begins and iTunes-style humor icons thrown in. ;-) I had so much fun with all these!

Most of the others are from promo pics on sites kindly shared with me by visionsbeyond (thank you again!), so you can blame thank her for my succumbing to the temptation of using the hi-res pics on the two wallpapers that I made to match this grouping. ;-)

I loved all of the ibatpod ones and I particuarly loved #'s 19, 25 and 26 of the Batman Begins icons as well as #'s 64 and 65 of the Dark Knight ones. :D

P.S. Yes, it is! I like it better than TDK's, namely because the Joker's theme (while undeniably fantastic and unique) is not exactly relaxation material...;-P What are your favourite tracks?

I never listen to the joker theme. Its great in the film but as you said - not relaxation material at all! lol! The score is still AWESOME though ! ;D
The Batman Begins score is alot more sensitive and has its very inspiring and beautiful moments .
ooooh my favourite pieces.....
Molossus - Its so brilliant! Makes your adrenalin pump!
Antrozous - Love the slow build up and then its just gets so fast! Amazing
Corynorhinus - The slow theme is gorgeous
Traning- So inspiring! Gives me chills!

I love almost the entire album! lol! But these are my top favourites.

LOL, do you have the TDK OST? I skip all the Joker parts but my brother listens to them so I've been exposed, haha.

Molossus, yes! That's Spencer's favourite on this cd, I think. I like it a lot, too, reminds me of the Tumbler chase, hee hee!! ;-) ("at least tell me what it looks like....")

Antrozous -- ooh, I had to listen to it, but that's "you could die, at least tell me your name!" *SIGH*

Corynorhinus -- sooooooo prettttyyyyyy...........

Traning, do you mean training? As in Eptesicus? ;-)

As for mine, hmmm.....Corynorhinus, like you, but Lasiurus and Eptesicus are my two faves right now! (and it's not on the soundtrack, but if you pop in the DVD and watch the endcredits when they start rolling the "Iceland" unit credits, THAT music is FANTASTIC!)

Okay wait....I just noticed that you mentioned me at the beginning of the post! lol! Awww thanks olde !!!I`m just glad that you enjoyed the pictures and did some wonderful work with them! :D
Of course I have both the soundtracks!!! TDK extended and BB extended versions too!!!!! ;D lol I`m a freak now! hee hee
Eptesicus is amazing too ;) but no actually 'Training' is a separate piece in the extended version ;)
And I just listened to the 'Iceland' credits part and its sooo cool! Its also a part of the extended soundtrack called 'End Credits' ! ;D

OOOOOOhhhhh, we only have the "normal" versions of each, so now I'm quite jealous! LOL. Do you have the TDK one with the Crystal Method remixes, I think it was? How do you like that?

Oh okay olde....but please do get your hands on atleast the BB extended version. Yes of course I have the limited edition extended TDK OST but its not all that different from the main and I`m not that into all the remixes . They`re alright but there`s nothing like the pure pieces.
Its not worth buying the extended TDK OST IMO but its nice to have it to complete the batman collection ;)
'Training' is sort of I feel a mix of a little bit of the beginning and then the music in the final scene of BB :)

Where did you get your BB extended ST? I looked for it on Amazon and iTunes but they don't even have a listing for it.

They do have the TDK extended 2-disc ST (http://www.amazon.com/Knight-Original-Motion-Picture-Soundtrack-Special/dp/B001HXG8PK/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1236063619&sr=1-6) which my brother and I were just drooling over, lol. That looks fantastic! (they have the music from the bank robbery, AAAAAND the music that starts right after Batman jumps Two Face to save Gordon's son.)

You know I myself never knew that BB had an extended OST but then I heard about it from a friend and then managed to get it from...well....lets just say a 'generous friend' ;) If you want it then just let me know ;)

I know! The TDK final scene music is hands down for me the BEST PIECE of all !!!!! I get chills everytime I listen to it! *sigh*

LOL. Thank you, but honestly, my brother likes to buy hard copies because he has this "archival nature" and wants the originals. I was trying to convince him last night to just iTunes the 15 extra TDK songs but he wasn't going for it. ;-P But if you could ask this friend where she got her (presumably) hard copy, I'd really love to know, because it seems to be hard to find. :-)

Yes, me too! Watch the World Burn is a pretty gut-wrenching track even when I'm not watching the movie. (and even after repeated viewings, it still grabs me).

Also, LOVE the wallpapers! I liked your textures and the quotes chosen really fit the scenes being shown.
