My dad commissioned me to slay dragons today at work. Little does he know that it's actually just my job to FIND the dragons; the programmers are the ones who slay them!

LOL!! Deborah the Dragon Slayer!! ;-P

You have a viking icon -- why not get a dragon one?

[identity profile] ceallaighgirl.livejournal.com 2007-04-23 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, then I'd have to eliminate one of my current ones.

[identity profile] olde-fashioned.livejournal.com 2007-04-23 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
But you only have 6 -- I get 15! Don't you have a free Plus Account, or something?

[identity profile] ceallaighgirl.livejournal.com 2007-04-23 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I don't want to pay and I don't want ads.

[identity profile] olde-fashioned.livejournal.com 2007-04-23 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Deborah, I don't pay a penny. I believe there are two types of free accounts, and I think I chose the "higher" one with more icons. I think you can upgrade yours for free...?

[identity profile] ceallaighgirl.livejournal.com 2007-04-23 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, like I said, I don't want ads on mine. The "free" one comes with ads. I hate ads.

[identity profile] olde-fashioned.livejournal.com 2007-04-24 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think I get any ads. Where are the ads? I have an advertisement bar at the top of my journal, but it's blank since I didn't check off any interests.

You are so good at keeping all of these different days straight.:)
How have you been?

[identity profile] olde-fashioned.livejournal.com 2007-04-24 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks! Since I'm an Anglophile and I like dragons, I simply had to celebrate today. ;-P

Pretty good thanks -- how about yourself?

Your icon is exactly what my brother says all the time. :-D

[identity profile] iane-grey.livejournal.com 2007-04-24 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
...lol, the lady looks as though she doesn't really know what's going on (how very English). Are you going to post for Saint Andrew, Saint David, and Saint Tamanend? What I mean to ask is, are you celebrating a person or a nation?

I guess I should have said "Huzzah for England!"

[identity profile] olde-fashioned.livejournal.com 2007-04-24 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, she's completely clueless!! ;-) Do you mean that English girls are that way, or that English women are depicted that way in art?

I would have posted for Saint David's Day had I known about it in enough time. Who the heck is St. Tamanend??

*snort*

[identity profile] iane-grey.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
Huzzah for England? You may say so, and therefore balance of praise will be maintained; your praise will fall in place of mine. I love my country, but do believe that patriotism - or rather chauvinism - is the last refuge of the scoundrel.

Do you like the stories behind the saints? There, I can easily relate :)

St. Tamanend was the patron saint of America..??

Re: *snort*

[identity profile] olde-fashioned.livejournal.com 2007-04-26 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I may not be English, and I've never even so much as set foot there, but I like England.

I love my country too, and I consider patriotism to be a virtue. Chauvenism, however, is a vice.

Yes, I do! I've always been interested in the people in history, rather than the deadly-dull dates and facts.

I've never heard of him -- and apparantly neither has Wikipedia. Perhaps he's the patron saint of tamarinds? ;-P

*frown*

[identity profile] iane-grey.livejournal.com 2007-04-27 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Saint Tamanend (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamanend). Seems he's been revoked by the Catholic church, along with Saint Christopher. Bother.

puh-leeeze!

[identity profile] olde-fashioned.livejournal.com 2007-04-28 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
Oh how ridiculous. I wonder what iniquitous crime he committed to deserve such a fate. *rolls eyes*

[identity profile] seventh-stage.livejournal.com 2007-04-24 07:53 am (UTC)(link)
I made some icons, thank you for the idea!
I like this story :)

Lovely job! And I'm pleased to be of use to you!

I like the story, too. Anything with damsels in distress!! ;-P
