Would you know whether the Clarissa painting by Millais is supposed to reference Samuel Richardson's Clarissa. Either way, I'm going to take the icon! They're all lovely. :)

Hmmm, that's a good question! I checked at the ARC where I got the image, and they don't say anything about it, and neither does Wikipedia, or at least I couldn't find it.
