...I'm actually alive! Ha ha ha. ;-P

Just popping in to say...

1. Thank you ever so much to all of you who left me kind comments on my hiatus entry, sent me thoughtful PM's, or sweet emails. I read every single one of them even though I haven't had time to reply yet, and they all mean so much to me! So, thank you all for thinking of me. :-D

2. Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] winterlillies and [livejournal.com profile] greeneyedmissy for the virtual cookies! *would eat them if they were real*

3. Thank you to all of my co-mods who have so graciously filled in for me at all those various icontests that I've been sadly neglecting these past few months.

4. While my circumstances at present still disallow my being online as much as previously (hopefully this won't last forever), I do still have some unposted graphics on my computer, and sometimes I can squeak out a little here and there. What I would like to know from all of my readers is, would you be interested in my "coming out of hiding" every now and then to post something sporadically?

5. And in case I don't get another chance, MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone, and hugs to all on my flist! ;-D

Well, later for now! *waves*

Well, I decided to go ahead and at least get this one batch off my harddrive before it qualifies for Medicare! I had SUCH a heck of a time working with these caps (which were really hard to come by to begin with), so woefully I couldn't do precisely what I wanted with them. *pouts* ANYway, hopefully these aren't too bad, being a few months old and all... ;-)

This movie is something I highly recommend to three groups of people: 1. fans of gorgeous cinematography, locations/scenery and really authentic costumes, 2. Christian Bale fans (because he plays a really great guy in this), and 3. die-hard travel documentary enthusiasts HA HA HA. I'm only half joking there, because seriously, the first two-thirds of this movie were so boring with little-to-no dialogue besides practically every character soliloquizing, asking (their love interest? the viewer??) "Who are you?" Very pointless IMO, and apparently very Terence Malleck, or so I'm told. ;-P

The movie only really got interesting during the last third or so when it started to develop a plot besides John Smith (who I never liked anyway, as played by the ever-grubby Colin Farrell who I can't stand) and Pocahontas (very aptly performed by the lovely Q'orianka Kilcher whose correctly spelt name is courtesy of IMDb) wandering around staring at each other like a bunch of deer.

Even having said of that, it was well cast, well acted, had a lot of "sweetness" to it, certainly was quite a visual treat, and the costumes really are exquisite! Plus it's not a bad historical take on a subject that has been sadly ruined by other films, novels, and whatnot...anyway, enough of my superfluous commentary -- on to the icons!

As always, never alter my graphics, comment, credit, and enjoy!
