The rays are placed to intentionally obscure His face. I'm not comfortable with artistic depictions of the faces of Jesus (God either, for that matter), so I prefer it when we can't see His facial features. ;)

Yes, I am a skirts-only homeschool grad. I really like long, flowing skirts, but recently, I've taken to wearing tunic tops and leggings every now and then to work, so I don't get the hems of my longer skirts dirty while I bend down to hang hangers behind the cash register. (Cash registers are not designed for tall people.) It's a little annoying that I've had to make a slight compromise, but at least it's still modest. :)

I prefer the longer ones, as well, but also have embraced a little more work-friendly styles since having to get a job. I love leggings under shorter (i.e., knee or thereabouts) skirts (it doesn't work under really long ones, lol).

When I have to bend or squat down in a long skirt, I'll catch my skirts in my hands and pile them on my lap, kind of. That usually keeps them off the floor, but keeps me covered. ;)

And yes, registers, kitchen and bathroom sinks, doorways, and everything else are NOT designed for tall people!!
