icons: Cranford

I was stalling this batch because I'm not finished and I wanted to include some of the sequel, Return to Cranford, but due to this month's Wild Card theme over at costume_awards plans have changed a bit! ;-) I'll try to get a second Cranford post up soon, but in the meantime, here's my first batch of icons from this lovely series.

Squeeeeeeeeee you posted up your Cranford icons - I am so glad lol!

What a wonderful collection done from the stills. I have loved the one you use as an icon your self for a long time (no 15), and couldn't place the post you posted it in (that would be because you hadn't done so yet! (ROTFLMAO)

As usual your use of cropping and textures with colouring are just so lovely - and your negative space combined on them too are just squeeee worthy.... #'s 11, 17, 18, 23 and 24

I adore the simplicity and space of 28 though, cant help it, it captures his feelings so well.

Congratulations on such a lovely batch, and look forward to the new ones you do.

Aww, thank you so much for your praise! I worked with the stills because I haven't downloaded any caps yet. *haz way too many movies on her HD already*

Negative space is my favourite! Right up there with cropped ones. ;-)

Re: #28: it IS so sad, but at least they get a happy ending! I was afraid they weren't going to and I CRIED when Major Gordon came back singing Loch Lomond...sigh...<3

Well, I am so glad you have done them:-) The stills cried out to be used though. It is great to have such lovely stills for this drama :-) (hopes you get to own the original one day to cap that :-)

Oh yes! There's nothing quite so vexing as an appalling lack of quality promos for a movie. ;-P Oh I own it -- I just don't have the software anymore! *cries* (The one you sent me isn't working for some reason! I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong; I even uninstalled and reinstalled it!) :-(

Aww, thank you so much! :-D :-D There is a lot of "hidden" beauty in the Cranford minis IMO, as opposed to the blatantly pretty shots of something like P&P '05 for instance. I was trying to bring it out, so I'm thrilled you like them! ;-D

Caroline really bugs the heck out of me (especially the way she talks), but that dress is nothing short of fabulous! It HAD to be iconned, LOL!

Bless you. There is a thread specifically set up for help and questions. I believe it is the 3rd one down in the general area - general, announcements and then techi help. These is bound to be someone there who can assist (may well be Elvira) but feel free - that is what it is there for :-)


To this day I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY there are no Thornton shots out there - none. I know they took them, the magazine is full of them (that mag that came out with the DVD's in a period drama collection) sorry BBC - but big error in not releasing them *wahhhhhhhh*
