Someday

This song is called Someday by the LaRue. It's about waiting for God to write your love story and saving yourself for marriage. The lyrics are so sweet and moving, but a little hard to understand, so I've included the lyrics below the cut. I did not make this video, but I included it so you all could listen. ;-)

I don't know if you're near or far away
But I know that I'm thinking of you today
I don't know if I even know your name
But I know that I'm praying for you just the same

Someday we'll fall in love
You'll be mine and I will be yours
Our hearts will be one
And our love will ever endure

CHORUS
Then I'll need you, and I'll want you
And I'll find you someday
Then I'll love you, and I'll hold you
And I'll be with you always

Our love will be so strong and pure
You will make me feel like I have never felt before
You will be perfect only for me
You will make these eyes begin to see

Someday we'll fall in love
You'll be mine and I will be yours
Our hearts will be one
And our love will ever endure

CHORUS

Your faith for the Lord will be strong
Even though I know the wait is long
And though I'm young I still belive
That you're out there praying for me

CHORUS

CHORUS

Pretty song! I have NO doubt that you will find the PERFECT man for you! You are such a fine, fine gift!
I'll pray along with you on this one!
Love,
Lindy

Lindy, thank you! However I think you are the one that is the gift. :-) Thank you for being such a sweetheart.

I can relate to the lyrics. The song reminds me of Wait For Me.We need to rely on God to write our love story when the time is right.

I came across this song on another site and it's like the conclusion to your song. It's song by Frank Sinatra in the 1940's.

Long ago and far away,

I dreamed a dream one day,

And now that dream is here beside me;

Long the skies were overcast,

But now the clouds have passed,

You’re here at last!

Chills run up and down my spine;

Aladdin’s lamp is mine;

The dream I dreamed was not denied me.

Just one look and then I knew

That all I longed for long ago was you.

That all I longed for long ago was you.

Yes, it reminded me of Wait For Me, as well.

Well, wonders never cease! I had no idea Frank Sinatra ever sang such a song. Thank you for bringing to my attention! :-)

Your welcome!
It's a type of song he would've sung in the earlier part of his career.Do you listen to him? I know more of his music from the 1950s/60s.

Another good singer from that era was Perry Como.

No, I don't listen to him. Perry Como, either, unless you count Christmas carols in December. ;-) I really don't care for that type of music, but I do like some of Patsy Cline, or rather the LeAnn Rimes renditions. *hides*

I only know two of their songs, but I like both of them. ;-)

This is pretty cute :) thanks for sharing!

My pleasure!

it sound stupid but sometimes it's nice to know there are others that share the same beliefs. I feel very strongly about that particular topic, too - good song :D

I don't think it's stupid at all! I feel exactly the same way, and sometimes it's very comforting and reassuring to find like-minded people, or at least someone who agrees on a particular subject. :-)

[identity profile] goingofthings.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
it is. I like discussing religions and beliefs that are different from my own, but it is all the same nice to find people that feel the same on this particular topic, because I very very rarely find people that do.

I strongly agree. It's so hard to talk about certain topics with people who actually aren't my church-friends, and I'm also glad to know that I'm not the one who believe in these things :)
(BTW sorry for my English, I'm not English native!)

yeah I get the "oh...really?" look a lot when I announce my views. lol

Haha, yes! Or the not-so-subtle "digs" and disaproving remarks.

That's the prettiest song I've heard, and it's so true!

I'm so sick and tired of the songs that are promoting premarital sex, one-night stands, etc. This was incredibly refreshing :)

[identity profile] olde-fashioned.livejournal.com 2008-10-14 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm glad you like it, and that someone is still reading my old entries. ;-)

That's exactly how I feel!
