I think sex ed ought to be left up to the parents, but if it is in public schools it certainly should be an option to opt-out of it if a parent so desires!

The issue about a child being able to choose their own religious is a bit touchy. Obviously, if you "train up a child in the way he should go, when he is old he will not depart from it", but children of all ages are not capable of making rational decisions about religion. I can just see a little four year old deciding he would much rather stay home from church on Sundays to watch cartoons, and his parents getting in legal trouble for trying to force him. *shakes head*

May I ask, just out of curiosity, why you would choose a Catholic school for your children if you're not Catholic or Christian?
