Three different wallpapers, with the first being a Watteau painting, the second a Regency fashion plate, and the third also having a fashion plate, this time from the 1830s. Please comment if taking, and enjoy!

Watteau's The Dance

1024 x 768
(Just the one size on this one, sorry.)

A Regency fashion plate that I colored myself, with a Jane Austen quote.

1280 x 800 -::- 1024 x 768 -::- 800 x 600

I also made two icons to go with the Regency wallpaper

A 1830s fashion plate. Think Wives & Daughters. ;-)

Agreed. Except for a couple of cute fashions and vintage-y thingies nowadays.

LOL! Yes. I don't like them much in person, but the drawings are lovely. :D

That's true. But precious few!! ;-P

I've never seen them in person. *jealous* Somehow though, even the most ridiculous trends look so much better in drawings and plates than they do in real life!

Have you seen any of Pushing Daisies? The romantic interest in it has the cutest wardrobe ever! (well, she needs a little camisole under some of her dresses, but they're still really cute) I really enjoy building my wardrobe out of modern-classic-vintage-funky-cute-clothes. (Oh dear. I'm talking about clothes. I think I've become a teenager at last. *runs to read something Deeply Insightful*)

Well, by in person, I mostly mean in movies, etc. Though I do have a ballgown from my aunt which has puffy sleeves... It's very pretty, but whenever I put it on I feel swallowed by the sleeves, so I've never taken pictures in it.

No, I haven't! But I do think Anna Friel is very pretty, and I love her coloring. (I have a soft spot for redheads.) Are there any pics online of her wardrobe? Sounds like something I would like! I've always wanted to wear modern-classic-vintage-funky-cute-clothes, too. :-D (ack -- I'm no longer a teenager, so what am I???) :-/

Or like Marilla says, you'd have to turn sideways to get through a door. *snort*

Drat! I thought I knew of a site devoted to the wardrobe.... Well, here's a google search:

Haha. It's true.

Thanks! What is her character's name on the show? Maybe I could get some results that way.

Actually, I am. Though I didn't know it at the time. It's actually Charlotte 'Chuck' Charles.

Charlotte Charles? Okay. For a second you really had me going there. ;-)

Yes. I said Charlotte Lucas because it sounded familiar. But it was the wrong Charlotte.

LOL. That's okay. My parents used to know someone by that name, and when they mentioned her once, I cracked up, (having just gotten into JA) and no one understood what was so funny. ;-)
