The completion of my Batman Begins icons100 claim, trimmed down to mere 175. (Did anyone think I'd really stop at a mere hundred? LOL!) I stumbled across some foreign promotional posters, concept art, and extra DVD material and I had loads of fun making them, so that helped bulk the quantity up. The quality I'll leave for others to judge. ;-)

Oooh, that sounds like that would have been an amusing conversation...and you've set my mind a whirlin' with your wanting to reveal idea . (What comic is that from?) I'm not sure I can see Nolan's Batman actually wanting to do that, in all seriousness, but maybe. If the circumstances were right--I'd LOVE a scene like that, because I love the way Nolan's depicted their relationship. So epic.

I've heard the same thing, too (IIRC the little birds were saying Nolan was looking at Charlize Theron to play her, as well, whom I just canNOT see in TDKR after watching her in certain movies........), and while my eyebrows went up just as high as yours did upon reading that, I'm really not worried. I mean, yeah, it would be HORRIBLE if Nolan really did go down that road? But I sincerely doubt he would. So far, his Batman characters have walked a very clear line: the good guys don't do bad things, period. Not unless the narrative is disapproving of them and the character learns to change (i.e., Bruce wanting to kill Chill). I honestly can't see Nolan turning TDKR into this lust-fest for Gordon and his ill-fated office romance...yeah.

Now, what I CAN see, is Gordon's wife leaving him. TDK really took a toll on her character as far as I saw, and I wouldn't be surprised if she turned alcoholic, went into rehab/killed herself, or divorced Gordon. THAT would open up the door for him to have another woman in his life--but without him having an affair. ;)

I know they need another woman in TDKR since we're ah, short one, but honestly, the whole BW/Batman love interest possibility makes me nervous because I do NOT WANT TALIA!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not huge on those Modern!Twist Fairytales, , so we'll see if I ever get around to watching RRH. It looks like it's planning on riding in on Twilight's coattails, and that's one fandom I really can't abide at ALL, sooo.... ;P

YES. Jim is adorable there XD

(I think our biggest thing is wanting to see Jim in a tux XD He's Commissioner now, he totally goes to fancy dress parties XD) I'm not sure what comic it's from, she's read them and I haven't. But yeah, if it somehow goes down that road, it would definitely be interesting to see. I think Batman's reasoning for wanting to do it in the comics was so that Jim would trust him, but Jim says he already trusts him, so he doesn't need to know his real identity. I can't say what's going to happen in regards to Jim and Batman's relationship, but it is definitely epic, and whatever happens in TDKR, it's going to continue to be, so I'm excited.

Yeah, I don't see Nolan doing it, but there's just that little, Jim loving part of me that will be worried until it's 100% discounted. I get too attached to characters XD And yes, I saw the Charlize rumor and it's very odd casting, especially opposite Gary. Not saying that he shouldn't get to make out with hot women, but you know, they just don't seem to mesh in my head.

Yeah, I think in the comics his wife actually does leave him, and I suppose that could be a subplot for TDKR, but I just don't want to tangle all of that up with an affair. I think what I want TDKR to be about is just Batman and Jim's relationship, and how far Jim is willing to go and how much he's willing to risk to help and protect Batman. I think it would be interesting too to have some more Jim and Bruce scenes (maybe at one of those fancy dress parties XD).

Yeah, they definitely need another female in Batman. I'm not too concerned either way about a love interest for Bruce, but I would like to see someone who's not just there for set decoration, you know?

Yeah, I don't care for Twilight either, but I'm cautiously optimistic about RRH. Though I could just be desperate for a new Gary movie. He's got five out next year. I'm very excited for 2011 XD

Okay, WHERE did you get that picture in your icon???

LOLOLOL, I can totally see Gordon going to a GCPD bash--thrown by none other than Bruce Wayne, heheheh. ;P Maybe he's donated all new computers for the new MCU, since the old one got blown up...which of course would mean covert "back doors" for Batman to gain access to police files.....

Actually I like the "dance" around the issue of trust regarding Gordon and Batman. Neither one has any real reason to trust the other, except just that--they trust each other. Gordon trusts that Batman isn't a homicidal maniac dressed up in a mask (hence his allowing him to do the interrogation of the Joker on police property--HUGE, IMO), and Batman trusts that Gordon isn't going to try and nail his butt for vigilantism, 9,834,792,835 counts of breaking and entering, assault and battery, evading arrest, et al. ;P

Here's a question for you--especially after the "You weren't protecting the van?" scene, do you think Gordon has any inkling whatsoever? We know that he knows about Rachel meaning something to Batman (I mean he's not stupid), and everyone knows about BW and Rachel having connections...

Wow, I guess I'm alone here in thinking that poor Gordon deserves a great gal if his wife does leave him? ;P Plenty of not-great-looking guys get gorgeous women. The woman just has to be able to appreciate his values. ;)

Actually IMO having Jim's wife leave him would play perfectly into what you just said. We already know that BW's price is a heavy one to pay--but what about Gordon? So far he hasn't had any major personal sacrifices on the altar of Gotham. He came close in TDK, but Batman saved Jim Jr. at the last moment--so having Gordon's wife leave him could be that heavy price for him to have to pay for trying to save Gotham. And that could help contribute to Gordon blaming Batman in a way, for escalating this whole mess, which drove his wife away.

Well Rachel wasn't there for set decoration IMO. I can't stand her character, but she *did* have a functioning role in the plot.

Funny you should ask that, because I don't know and I just asked the maker, and she said she doesn't still have the picture and doesn't remember where she got it. Needless to say, I am very sadfaced, because I want that picture so bad.

Yuss, I like that dance too. They haven't really got a real reason to trust each other, only that Batman/Bruce knows that Jim is a good cop who just wants to clean up Gotham, and Jim knows that Batman has Gotham's best intentions at heart. It's a wonderful dance, really, one of my favorite aspects of the series. TDKR could definitely work with testing and stretching that trust.

It's possible that Jim could suspect. It wouldn't surprise me, but then I don't think Jim knows Bruce all that well, seeing as how they almost never interact. Jim definitely isn't stupid, but it may not be a connection he's made yet.

No, no, I think Jim deserves a great gal, I just don't want it to be the result of an affair. I don't want Jim's morality compromised that way, you know? If his wife does leave him and he falls in love again, great! I, of course, think Jim is very attractive (as I think Gary is very attractive XD), so it's not a case of physical appearance, I just don't think he and Charlize specifically would really connect in a setup like that. I don't see them as a good pair for a romantic thing.

Yeah, I think Jim's wife leaving him would be a good way to show what Jim's ambition and faith in Batman could cost him. It's not that particular storyline that bothers me, it's just the affair thing.

She did, but I felt like too much of her character was tied up in the whole Harvey/Bruce love triangle thing in TDK. I understand that it was Batman's evident feeling for her that made the Joker single her out (and then Harvey by extension), but IDK.

I know he doesn't know Bruce, but the crash clearly made him think BW was protecting the van, and he might not have been convinced that he was clueless. Couple that with the Batman/Rachel connection, and all the money BW has (and which anyone who thought about it long enough HAD to realize Batman would need).....

I don't want him to have an affair, either...and I hope Nolan keeps the moral compass of the series straight!!!

I agree the love triangle was a plot device, but not a cheap one IMO. It also helped play up the whole conflict that the existance of Batman brings about...and TDK was also about choices. Rachel had to make a choice, Bruce had to make a choice (to be or not to be, LOL!) and to kill or not to kill, et al. Rachel didn't want an abnormal life or an abnormal lover...

I have three Gary fansites bookmarked and none of them have it, so I'm really really wondering there the image came from. It's driving me crazy.

Maybe that will be part of TDKR too, Jim suspecting something about Bruce, if not that he's Batman then maybe that he's still somehow involved because of his money and power.

It's hard to judge what Nolan will do, and we know he likes to keep things close to the chest, but hopefully the closer we get to the filming start date, maybe more will be revealed.

Speaking of Nolan keeping things close to the chest, who do you think the villain will be? I've seen Hugo Strange tossed around, for Tom Hardy's character, and while I don't know really anything about the comics, it seems like an interesting choice of villain.
